RALEIGH, N.C. . . . North State Bank (the “Bank”) named Jeff Gleeson as senior vice president and director of credit administration, announced Brian Hedges, executive vice president and chief credit officer. In this role, Gleeson will oversee credit functions, including loan policies and procedures, all while ensuring the overall quality of the Bank’s loan portfolio.

“Lending is part and parcel to being a community bank and having a strong credit team is essential,” said Hedges. “Jeff steps into the role with a breadth of experience in credit administration and as a proven leader.”

Gleeson comes to the Bank with over two decades of experience, having served as chief credit officer at Eclipse Bank in Louisville, Kentucky, and in senior credit administration roles at King Southern Bank (Kentucky) and River Valley Financial Bank (Indiana). An alumnus of the University of Illinois at Springfield, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Management. He recently relocated to the Triangle from Louisville, Kentucky.

“Through an up-close look at the area’s small businesses, this role provides me with a keen window into the community,” shared Gleeson. “Those small businesses can tell you a lot about the personality of the community—what people are interested in, what they value and so on. I’m excited to make North Carolina my home and look forward to this next chapter in my career.”
